The von Essen collection of hotels offer a unique luxury experience. von Essen hotels invests heavily in every one of the hotels and there is an on-going programme to ensure each property conforms to the demanding standards of luxury and quality that define the von Essen brand. von Essen hotels also has a strong acquisition plan and has acquired three hotels so far in 2008. Since last year, the number of distinct sets of hotels within the Collection has grown to five with the development of a central London hotel – the first of the Metropolitan Set.

 

Country Set

The Country Set of twelve hotels offer the quintessential English country retreat. Food, service and surroundings are to the von Essen hotels standard, but provided in a relaxed, informal and warming environment that aims to provide a home away from home for all of the hotels’ many guests. The set comprises Bishopstrow House, Congham Hall, Dalhousie Castle, The Greenway, Homewood Park, Hunstrete House, Lewtrenchard Mano, The Mount Somerset, New Park Manor, Seaham Hall, Washbourne Court and Callow Hall.

Continental Set

The Continental Set currently comprises Château de Bagnols, our first property outside of the UK (and a Relais & Châteaux hotel), which is widely regarded as one of the finest vineyard Château hotels in the world.

Family Set

The Family Set, which includes Luxury Family Hotels, has pioneered the successful formula that allows both adults and children to enjoy these stunning country properties. The collection comprises Woolley Grange, Fowey Hall, The Elms, The Ickworth and Moonfleet Manor.

Metropolitan Set

The Metropolitan Set launches with the debut of von Essen hotels first city centre property in early summer 2009. In conjunction with the 50th anniversary of The London Heliport, the hotel and heliport development at Bridges Wharf, Battersea, will signal a design-led solution, offering state of the art facilities for the business and leisure guest and setting new standards of service.
