Management
Managing Group Editor, Lisa Durante develops new publishing concepts, overseeing editorial production of all publications under the GVP banner. Additionally she oversees CR strategy and deliverables on behalf of GVP Board of Directors.
Environment
GVP’s chief environmental impact areas are carbon emissions. This is linked to printing, energy use, staff travel and book distribution; in addition to the use of packaging materials. In initiating its in-house CR policy GVP is reviewing all key impacts quarterly, tracking reductions and initiating new projects to alleviate carbon footprint impact.
Organisational Development
GVP makes a concerted effort to continually attract the best people for the job. The board and management actively support and implement organisational strategies that reduce staff attrition and contribute to better business results and a more satisfied workforce through share options, partnerships and intern programmes.
Contributing to Society
GVP implements the practice of corporate sponsorship in its territories worldwide by supporting charities and non-profit organisations. The causes supported by GVP fall across a range of needs with special consideration given to the environment, micro entrepreneurship, women’s causes, as well as health and sustainable development. GVP’s methodology of giving includes bartering and providing free editorial space across all its publications, in addition to facilitating cash donations via gvpedia.com and assisting in raising awareness of the individual causes showcased.
