With Jordan's growing economy, political stability and exceptional investment promotion laws, Al-Mushatta is the ideal industrial city for local and foreign investors. It is the largest industrial city in Jordan with state-of-the-art infrastructure at world standards and an unbeatable strategic location.
Al Mushatta is fully owned by the Investors and Eastern Arab for industrial and Real Estate Investments (IEAI). Established as a public shareholding company in 2002 with an investment capital of $42 million, IEAI was created with the the aim of attracting high value-added investments into Jordan, utilizing trade agreements encouraging foreign invesment, as well as add to the potential of investment growth. IEAI's partner in Al-Mushatta is the United Arab Investors Company (UAIC) which is currently the largest investment company in Jordan.
The implementation of Al-Mushatta project began in 2004. Strategically located between the Queen Alia International AIrport, capital city of Amman and port city of Aqaba, it comprises 4.4 million square meters fully laid out with state-or-the-art infrastructure in compliance with international industrial zone standards.
The infrastructure is complete with water wells, a power transformer, road network accessibility, advanced telecom utilities to accomodate for networks & digital solutions, voice services & ISDN connections, large parking areas, a fire fighitng connection as well as sewage and water treatment plants. Additionally, the site includes three bank branches, maintennance services, custom and clearance offices, a clinic, a supermarket and a mosque to make Al-Mushatta a complete industrial city which also attends to quality of life and day-to-day requirements of its staff and investors.
Investors are furthermore supported by Al-Mushatta with development & supported by AL-Mushatta with development & support services through assistance in obtaining the necessary approvals from official bodies and providing technical & logistical consultation until the first goods have been produced & qualified.
Phase one of Al-Mushatta industrial City, approx. 1.3 million square meters is completed and includes the main management and service buildings. To date over 30% of phase one has already been completed and placed with high added value investors such as Taameer Jordan (pre-cast concrete, wooden doors and aluminum frames manufacturers) along with a line of joint ventures and partnerships with international manufacturers.

This has been a bery eventful year for IEAI and Al-Mushatta. In addition to the completion of a substantial segment of the initial phase of Al-Mushatta. IEAI has achieved other noteworthy milestones.
In March, IEAI was the only private investor from Jordan to attend the Middle East Free Trade Area (MEFTA) trade and investment conference in London. The MEFTA initiative started in 2003 with the purpose of creating a U.S. Middle East Free Trade Area by 2013. The objective behind it has been to gradually increase trade and investment in the Middle East and to assist the Middle East countries in implementing domestic reforms, instituting the rule of law, protecting private property rights (including intellectual property), and creating a foundation for openness, economic growth and prospertiy. Jordan is among the four Arab signatories of free trade agreements with the US, including Morocco, Bahrain and Oman.
In May, IEAE signed a Memorandum of Understanding with two reputable Italian companies, Gasparro Macchine and LIMA S.A.R.L to form a joint venture for the manufacture of pre-cast concrete at Al-Mushatta. Additionally in June IEAI reached an agreement with Energy Management Services (EMS) to provide its energy and water conservation solutions to companies and factories at Al-Mushatta, rendering it the first "Green Industrial City" in the Middle East. Through this proposed partnership EMS and Al-Mushatta strive to attract clients to the INdustrial City, increase their profits and reduce their costs while continuing to distinguish Al-Mushatta from other industrial cities.
Al-Mushatta constantly strives to attract value-added investments and possible joint ventures with IEAI to locate in its premises. It has thus far succeeded in positioning itself as the premier location in Jordan in which to invest. As part of its ongoing efforts to reach out to its potential customer base, Al-Mushatta participated in the 4th Annual Exhibition under the title :Rebuild Irag" last May and has additionally participated in the 2nd Arab- China Business Conference last June and Cityscape, the annual business to business convention that took place in Dubai last October.
